Our Why

Hi, I’m Lauren Larsen, a licensed occupational therapist with over five years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan — from children to older adults — in living fuller, safer, and more independent lives.
Throughout my OT journey, I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings, including mental health, pediatrics, assisted living, inpatient rehab, and outpatient care. But it was my time working with older adults that truly shaped the vision for this work. I saw firsthand how many hospitalizations were the result of preventable falls — not because people weren’t trying hard enough, but because their environments or physical readiness didn’t support them safely aging in place.
That insight sparked a passion in me: to help people before the fall. I created this consulting service to offer personalized home safety assessments and fall prevention strategies that go beyond grab bars and lighting — I focus on both the space and the person. I combine my background in strength, balance, and coordination training with an understanding of the unique needs and routines of each individual I work with.
My goal is simple: to help you or your loved one stay strong, safe, and confidently independent at home — because home should be a place of comfort, not risk.
Whether you’re noticing early signs of unsteadiness, preparing for a transition home from the hospital, or simply want peace of mind, I’d be honored to support you.
Lauren Larsen, OTR/L
